BOUNDLESS CFC 2.0 review | Design & Build Quality
As for the dimensions of CFC 2.0, it can be said that it has practically the same dimensions as the model it replaces; the only appreciable difference is in the length, in fact the CFC 2.0 is slightly shorter.
It fits comfortably in one hand and has the classic “grippy” surface to offer a safer handle.
Also in this case the vaporizer is equipped with an oled screen, on which the temperature and the battery status are indicated; there are also 3 buttons, two to control the temperature, and one for switching on and off.
The sensation to the touch is of fair quality, adequate to the price range in which this vaporizer is placed.
BOUNDLESS CFC 2.0 review | Stealth
The level of discretion is very good, as the vaguely cylindrical shape allows it to be completely wrapped in the hand.
BOUNDLESS CFC 2.0 review | Vapor quality
The first noteworthy improvement is the new mouthpiece redesigned to have a better vapor flow, and it is also more heat-resistant, therefore more comfortable.
Another nice little touch is the water pipe adapter (bong), which is in the package: use a vaporizer with a water pipe maximizes the pleasure of smoking, as the water cools the vapor, for a “smooth” effect in the throat.
The new ceramic brazier has a capacity increased to 0.5 grams (0,017 oz): a value definitely above average, even if compared to expensive vaporizers. Remember that with this vaporizer you can only vaporize weed: so no concentrates or oils.
The warm up time varies from 20 to 30 seconds, a good value for a vaporizer in this price range.
BOUNDLESS CFC 2.0 review | Battery
One of the most radical innovations of the Boundless CFC 2.0 compared to its predecessor, lies in the battery: in fact, the latter is now replaceable, (it uses 18650 batteries, like these) and this is a great advantage.
But be careful: to remove the battery it is necessary to disassemble the vaporizer: therefore it is not possible to change it on the fly. You will always need a USB charger, whether at home or in your car.
The duration of a fully charged battery is about 60 minutes, but as usual this value is influenced by the temperature it’s used: if we insist on sessions at maximum temperature, the battery life will be obviously affected.
BOUNDLESS CFC 2.0 review | Should I buy it?
This vaporizer is a decisive step forward compared to the model it replaces, since it introduces a lot of important upgrades: a better flow of steam, replaceable battery, compatibility with “standard” water pipes and a brand new bowl (both bigger and better designed).
The biggest downside is the non-replaceability of its battery, which is a real shame, but hey, we are talking about a under 100$ vaporizer, so you can’t have it all.
The vapor quality is decent, and the water pipe adapter is a welcome optional included in the box: I really encourage you to give it a go with your favourite bong.
The arrival of the Boundless CFC 2.0 messes up the cards in the market of cheap vaporizers: in fact we can say that in its price range is probably the best.
